POSITION SUMMARY:

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency that focuses on issues critical to the region’s success, including growth and development, transportation, water resources, services for older adults and workforce solutions. ARC is dedicated to unifying the region’s collective resources to prepare the metropolitan area for a prosperous future. This is done through professional planning initiatives, the provision of objective information and the involvement of the community in collaborative partnerships.

The Management Services Specialist will provide administrative support to enhance the performance of the Home and Community Based Services Provider Network Unit. This individual will report to and work with the Program Manager to identify innovative solutions that streamline processes and keep all current provider network related data using technology to enhance individual and unit performance. This is a part-time temporary position (25 hours on average per week) that is not eligible for benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides general administrative support to HCBS Provider Network Unit Manager and all work groups within the unit:
  • Ensures that the Division of Aging Services Satisfaction Survey requirements are completed in the region;
  • Provides technical assistance, as needed, to support the HCBS intake unit;
  • Assists with meetings, including AV and room set up and catering;
  • Prepares pertinent invoices to be processed by HCBS Unit;
  • Maintains database to collect and organize performance metrics
  • Prepares routine correspondence and update unit protocols and manuals;
  • Generates performance reports from spreadsheets, client data systems and websites and other management systems;
  •  Performs other duties as assigned to support agency goals and objectives.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Knowledge in the field of aging/disabilities;
  • Knowledge of community-based health and long-term care services network;
  • Ability to offer suggestions for process improvement;
  • Ability to compile and assess data to identify trends and adjust and assign tasks;
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with all levels of staff;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills;
  • Possess technology, communication and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management system applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (equivalent combination acceptable): 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four (4) years of related administrative support or customer service experience
