Position Summary

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency that focuses on issues critical to the region's success, including growth and development, transportation, water resources, services for older adults and workforce solutions. ARC is dedicated to unifying the region's collective resources to prepare the metropolitan area for a prosperous future. This is done through professional planning initiatives, the provision of objective information, and community involvement in collaborative partnerships.

The Innovations Team Support Specialist will provide administrative support to enhance the program performance of the Innovations Team in the Program Development Unit. This role will make outreach calls to prospective clients and set up appointments between coaches and enrolled clients as prescribed by the PCHP Program. This role will also work with the Innovations Team Coordinator to monitor program referrals, conduct data entry, track billing, and assist with related reporting across multiple programs.

This is a full-time temporary position that may end
onor before November 30, 2021 unless the contract is renewed for additional terms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make prospective client outreach calls within prescribe timeframes to enroll referred individuals into the PCHP program;
  • Schedule in person and/or telephonic meetings between the coach and clients for program assessment and support;
  • Conduct database research on available programs, services and resources as needed;
  • Input required documentation in program databases; complete documentation/reports within prescribed timeframes;
  • Monitor referrals, conduct data entry, track billing, and assist with related reporting;
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support agency goals and objectives.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES 

  • Knowledge of community-based health and long-term care services network a plus;
  • Knowledge of the Aging Network, experience in the field of aging/disabilities;
  • Knowledge in customer service practices with an emphasis on marketing and sales;
  • Ability to understand and practice active listening techniques;
  • Ability to establish rapport with clients;
  • Ability to organize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage and prioritize competing demands;
  • Possess strong excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and data management systems.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Four (4) years of related administrative support or customer service experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATION 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, Social Work, Gerontology, or related field.
  • Prior experience with program promotion and/or sales.
