POSITION SUMMARY:

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency that focuses on issues critical to the region’s success, including growth and development, transportation, water resources, services for older adults and workforce solutions. ARC is dedicated to unifying the region’s collective resources to prepare the metropolitan area for a prosperous future. This is done through professional planning initiatives, the provision of objective information and the involvement of the community in collaborative partnerships.

The Program/Project Analyst is responsible for providing performing entry-level professional program administration and basic analysis of program information including gathering, compiling and analyzing data; coordinating project and/or meeting logistics; and facilitating data collection and communication in addition to general administrative support and enhancing performance of the Strategic Planning and Quality unit by assisting with social media posts (Facebook and Twitter), blog posts development, website updates and postings, committee meetings setup and support, and project tracking. This role reports to and will work with the unit manager to administer social media, blog posts, and website updates and to provide general administrative and meeting support. This position will end June 30, 2024, unless additional funding is available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides assistance maintaining user access; generating, analyzing and distributing reports; and providing technical assistance to Aging Tech/DDS Database/ePro Support;
  • Performs basic analysis of program information including gathering, compiling and analyzing data for Live Beyond Expectations strategic plan, Standard Operating Procedures, Area Plan process, and policy briefs;
  • Provides general administrative support to Strategic Planning and Quality team;
  • Administers social media, blog posts, and website updates;
  • Provide general administrative and meeting support to assigned staff;
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support agency goals and objectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the Aging Network, experience in the field of aging/disabilities
  • Knowledge of community-based health and long-term care services network;
  • Ability to assign and track data;
  • Ability to work in collaboration with other team members, supervisors, and the agency;
  • Excellent organizational and facilitation skills;
  • Skill in oral and written communication;
  • Proficiency in creating and posting social media content and updating websites (WordPress);
  • Proficient in standard office equipment, Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and related software applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, human services or directly related field
  • One (1) year of related experience which may include internship experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

  • Selected candidate will be subject to a criminal background check
