The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is the regional planning and intergovernmental coordination agency that focuses on issues critical to the region’s success, including growth and development, transportation, water resources, services for older adults, and workforce solutions. ARC is dedicated to unifying the region’s collective resources to prepare the metropolitan area for a prosperous future. This is done through professional planning initiatives, the provision of objective information and the involvement of the community in collaborative partnerships. 

The ARC Transportation Access and Mobility Group is seeking a part-time, temporary support for data analysis and modeling project and program needs within the Center of Livable Communities. 

This temporary position is not eligible for benefits working 10-29 hours per week.


  • Assist with transportation system performance analysis;
  • Assist in researching new tools and data for transportation analysis;
  • Provide support for data analysis and modeling project and program needs;
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Agency goals and objectives.


  • Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap or Pro) proficiency;
  • Ability to understand new and innovative analytical tools;
  • Ability to establish priorities and organize work;
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently with general instructions;
  • Possess strong verbal and written communications skills;
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills;
  • Skill in ArcGIS Online and web-based technology beneficial;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).


  • Bachelor’s degree in geographic information science and technology or related field 

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
